The following is the Apple Devices account for 46% of total smartphone activation in the United States in December 2020 From Flurry Analytics recommended by recordtrend.com. And this article belongs to the classification: Flurry.

According to flurry analytics, Apple Devices accounted for the majority of smartphone activation in the United States in December 2020, but the total amount of activation decreased by 20% compared with 2019. Flurry reported in December that nine of the top 10 smartphones activated on Christmas day were iPhones. However, the data analysis company also noted that the amount of activation during Christmas fell 23% year on year.

The company released data for the whole of December on Thursday, depicting a similar decline from the previous year. Consumer buying behavior seems to be in line with the same period last year: activation rose in December, peaked at Christmas and remained high during New Year’s day. However, compared with December 2019, the total number of activations decreased by 20%.

Like flurry’s previous reports, the iPhone model is in the top 10 for active devices. Top of the list was iPhone 11, followed by iPhone 12 Pro max, iPhone 12, iPhone XR and iPhone 12 pro.

The rest of the top 10 is made up of three other iPhones: iPhone se, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 8 plus. Two Android devices, LG Stylo 6 and Samsung Galaxy a11, also ranked in the top 10. They came in eighth and tenth respectively. Like Christmas, the iPhone 12 Mini didn’t make it to the top 10. According to flurry, the device ranks 25th. The analyst believes the size and price of the iPhone se can offset interest in the iPhone 12 Mini.

According to the data, apple accounted for 46% of all smartphone activation in December. Samsung came second with 27% and LG came third with 9%.

“As we predicted shortly after Thanksgiving, the year-on-year decline in holiday smartphone activation is likely due to the impact of the new crown pandemic,” flurry analytics wrote.
