According to a new survey conducted by Ipsos for the world economic forum, 59% of the respondents in 30 countries and regions expect to return to normal living standards within the next 12 months, and 6% of them believe that this is already the case; 9% thought that it would take no more than 3 months to return to normal; 13% thought it would take 4-6 months; 32% thought that 7-12 months. About one in five thought it would take more than three years (10%) or never recover (8%).

By contrast, 80% of Japan and more than half of France, Italy, South Korea and Spain expect this to take longer.
