The following is the Digital healthcare consumer report 2020 From Stanford digital health center recommended by recordtrend.com. And this article belongs to the classification: Consumer research, research report.
The new crown pandemic and the ensuing health care crisis have pushed the digital health ecosystem to a climax. A survey by rock health and Stanford digital health center found that telemedicine visits accounted for 14% of the total outpatient visits in mid April 2020. In October 2020, the proportion of telemedicine visits is stable at about 6% – 7%, but still higher than 0.1% before the pandemic.
Survey data show that consumers are particularly satisfied with telemedicine.
Digital health applications in 2020 reflect consumers’ response to the new crown pandemic:
The rapid hub for providers to provide telemedicine has led to a significant increase in the use of video telemedicine, with 43% of respondents having video visits (compared with 32% in 2019).
The use of wearable devices will increase in 2020. 43% of respondents have wearable devices (up from 33% in 2019). Chronic disease management may drive this upward trend. Many (66%) of the respondents who first used wearable devices during cowid-19 used them to manage their health. 51% of wearable device users use it to manage their health (up from 28% in 2019).
More than half of the respondents used digital trackers to track health indicators, such as weight, heart rate and blood pressure, up 12 percentage points from 2019.
60% of the respondents searched online for medical institution reviews, which is slightly lower than that in 2019, which may reflect the overall decline in health care utilization caused by the pandemic.
The majority of respondents continued to search online for information about symptoms, treatments and medications, but the proportion of respondents who did so declined (67% in 2020 and 73% in 2019).
