1、 Overall situation of domestic mobile phone market
In September 2021, the domestic market shipped 21.44 million mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%, including 15.118 million 5g mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%, accounting for 70.5% of the mobile phone shipments in the same period.
In the third quarter of 2021, the total shipments of mobile phones in the domestic market totaled 7442.2, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, including 55.64 million 5g mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 26.3%, accounting for 74.8% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
From January to September 2021, the total shipments of mobile phones in the domestic market totaled 249 million, with a year-on-year increase of 10.2%, including 183 million 5g mobile phones, with a year-on-year increase of 70.4%, accounting for 73.8% of the mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In September 2021, 58 new mobile phone models were listed in China, with a year-on-year decrease of 3.3%, including 24 5g mobile phones, with a year-on-year decrease of 14.3%, accounting for 41.4% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
In the third quarter of 2021, 141 new mobile phone models were listed in China, with a year-on-year increase of 0.7%, including 62 5g mobile phones, with a year-on-year increase of 1.6%, accounting for 44.0% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
From January to September 2021, 354 new models were listed, the same as the same period last year, including 172 5g mobile phones, with a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, accounting for 48.6% of the number of new models listed in the same period.

2、 Composition of domestic and foreign brands in domestic mobile phone market
In September 2021, the shipment of domestic brand mobile phones was 20.268 million, a year-on-year decrease of 6.0%, accounting for 94.5% of the mobile phone shipment in the same period; There were 54 new models on the market, with a year-on-year increase of 10.2%, accounting for 93.1% of the number of new mobile phone models on the market in the same period.
In the third quarter of 2021, the shipment of domestic brand mobile phones was 68.962 million, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%, accounting for 92.7% of the mobile phone shipment in the same period; 126 new models were listed, with a year-on-year increase of 3.3%, accounting for 89.4% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
From January to September 2021, the shipment volume of domestic brand mobile phones totaled 224 million, with a year-on-year increase of 8.9%, accounting for 90.3% of the mobile phone shipment volume in the same period; A total of 320 new models were listed, with a year-on-year increase of 0.6%, accounting for 90.4% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.

3、 Development of smart phones in China
In September 2021, the shipment of smart phones was 20.811 million, a year-on-year decrease of 5.4%, accounting for 97.1% of the mobile phone shipment in the same period. In the third quarter of 2021, the shipment of smart phones was 71.658 million, a year-on-year increase of 4.0%, accounting for 96.3% of the mobile phone shipment in the same period. From January to September 2021, the shipment of smart phones was 243 million, with a year-on-year increase of 11.4%, accounting for 97.6% of the mobile phone shipment in the same period.

In September 2021, 53 new models of smart phones were launched, with a year-on-year increase of 23.3%, accounting for 91.4% of the number of new models launched in the same period. In the third quarter of 2021, 125 new models of smart phones were listed, with a year-on-year increase of 21.4%, accounting for 88.7% of the number of new models of mobile phones listed in the same period. From January to September 2021, 300 new models of smart phones were listed, with a year-on-year increase of 11.5%, accounting for 84.7% of the number of new models listed in the same period.
