According to JD Power’s latest customer satisfaction data, most Americans are satisfied with their wireless routers at home. The latest survey found that American customers’ satisfaction with routers in 2021 was 884 points, higher than 826 points in 2020. The biggest benefit in this category comes from the improvement of satisfaction with Wi Fi range, up 20 points from last year.

Ian Greenblatt, general manager of JD Power, pointed out that 2020 is a difficult year for the industry. Because of the covid-19 pandemic, millions of people suddenly work, study and socialize at home every day. Greenblatt said that this pushed home Wi Fi hardware to the limit and led to a decline in router satisfaction in 2020, but scores began to pick up.

“Customers are now settling down and enjoying their wireless connection. The results also show an improvement in customer service satisfaction, which means that customer service representatives are doing well in solving customer problems,” Greenblatt explained.

Among the major router manufacturers scored, ASUS ranked first in terms of customer satisfaction, with an average score of 859 points. Tp link followed with 855 points, while arris won the bronze medal with 853 points.

This is the sixth year JD Power made the same survey report. The wireless router satisfaction report is based on the voting results of 1256 consumers who bought new routers in the past year.
