Recently, the latest data released by IDC, an authoritative market research organization, shows that in the third quarter of 2020, the shipment of smart phones in the Western European market decreased by 6.5% to 28.8 million units, Huawei fell by 58.7% year-on-year, and Xiaomi and oppo rose 151.6% and 566.2% respectively.

From the data, Samsung shipped 10.3 million units in the Western European market in the quarter, with a market share of 35.6%, continuing to rank first, down 6.0% from the same period last year.

Apple followed suit, shipping 8.2 million units in the quarter, with a market share of 28.5%, up 1.1% year-on-year.

Xiaomi’s shipment in this quarter was 3.7 million units, up 151.6% year-on-year, and its market share increased sharply from 4.8% last year to 12.8%, ranking among the top three for the first time.

Huawei shipped 2.5 million units, down 58.7% year-on-year, and its market share fell to 8.8%. Oppo achieved an increase of 566.2% in the quarter, with a market share of 3.1%.
