According to the mobile phone market data of India in the first quarter of 2021 released by CMR, the shipment of smart phones in India increased by 23% year on year, and the demand for 4G smart phones is still strong. In the first quarter of 2021, 4G smartphone shipments grew 14% year-on-year.
Xiaomi (28%), Samsung (18%) and vivo (16%) are the top three smartphones in the first quarter of 2021. Oppo shipments increased by 16% year on year. Q1 2021: key smartphone market highlights

Samsung’s shipment volume increased by 41% and its market share reached 18%, ranking second in the smartphone market. In the field of functional phones, Samsung ranks second with 20% market share.
Vivo’s market share reached 16%, and its shipment volume increased by 20% year on year. It has launched seven models in the high-end and ultra high-end smartphone market, including the vivo X60 5g series.
Real’s shipment increased by 1.5%, mainly driven by real C12, narzo 30A and narzo 20 series.
Oppo’s shipment increased by 16% year on year, replacing realme’s ranking with 11% market share.
Oneplus’s shipment volume increased by 400%, mainly due to its good operation.
Apple ranks eighth in the first quarter of 2021. Together, iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 accounted for 71% of its shipments.
The overall shipment volume of its brands (itel, infinix and Tecno) increased by 12% year-on-year, while the shipment volume of smart phones increased by 44% year-on-year.
In the 2G mobile phone market, Nokia’s and micromax’s shipments decreased by 7% respectively, while lava’s shipments increased by 15% year on year.
