The following is the Global institutional response survey in the new year From Ipsos recommended by recordtrend.com. And this article belongs to the classification: Ipsos, research report.
Ipsos found that people in six of the six major countries had less confidence in the government’s ability to deal with the new coronavirus than last year.
Global health officials and the media have also been hit. Most people in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States question global health authorities. On average, about 3/10 of adults surveyed in 8 countries thought that the media exaggerated the degree of COVID-19, which was also true a year ago.
Doctors and local health workers are still more trustworthy groups than at the beginning of the crisis.
Governments did not meet expectations
Of the eight countries analyzed, the only exception is Australia. People’s confidence in the Australian government’s response to the new crown is now higher than a year ago, 78% in January 2021 and 70% in February 2020.
Most Canadians (60%) believe that their government can deal with coronavirus.
There are differences in public opinion on this issue between the United States (47%) and Russia (45%). A small number of respondents in the UK (37%) and France (36%) and Japan (24%) thought their national government could deal with the virus.
The countries with the most serious decline in confidence in their government’s response to the new crown were Japan (- 39%), Britain (- 28%), the United States (- 21%) and France (- 20%).
Global health officials lose authority
Most people in every country believe that in the long run, global public health authorities will be questioned, from 73% in France to 51% in Russia.
Trust in global health authorities will weaken. The growth rate of distrust of global health authorities in France and the United Kingdom (+ 28%), Canada and Germany (+ 22%), Russia (+ 21%), as well as in the United States (+ 17%) and Australia (+ 14%) is in double digits, with Japan being the only exception (+ 4).
