Gihi2021 also uses more micro measurable data sets to deeply expand the scope of data measurement and focus on multi-level business formats of digital innovation.

The calculation results show that the top ten cities (metropolitan areas) in gihi2021 are San Francisco San Jose, New York, London, Beijing, Boston, Tokyo, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay area, Paris, Seattle Tacoma Bellevue and Baltimore Washington.

Compared with gihi2020, Beijing’s comprehensive ranking rose from No. 5 last year to No. 4, and the first show of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Bay Area merged by “9 + 2” cities such as Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Guangzhou was amazing, ranking No. 7. Among the world’s leading 50 international science and technology innovation centers, 23 are in Asia and 9 are in China.
