In order to master the application status of “cloud service” in hospitals in China, find out the problems and challenges in the work, understand the service mode and technical characteristics of “cloud service” providers, and enable the construction and development of “cloud service” in hospitals. The information professional committee of China Hospital Association organized and carried out the investigation on the application of cloud services in hospitals in 2022, in order to carry out the research on the development trend of “cloud services”, reveal the obstacles and problems in the application development, and provide a reference basis for hospitals to carry out the work planning of “cloud services” and formulate relevant technical specifications.
The scope of “cloud services” in this survey includes: public cloud services (such as IAAs, PAAS or SaaS service products provided by Alibaba cloud, official account / service number / applet, Unicom voyun regional image cloud, etc.); Exclusive cloud services (IAAs, PAAS or SaaS services of the exclusive medical industry resource pool isolated from the public cloud, such as the Tianyi cloud medical cloud zone), and government affairs cloud (public cloud manufacturers provide completely physically isolated and customized exclusive government affairs cloud platforms for governments at all levels). The virtualization software in the hospital’s own data center and the private cloud services deployed by commercial cloud software are not within the scope of this survey.
The subjects of this survey are the hospital information principals (hospital CIOs) and cloud service providers. The survey did not use the sampling design framework to select survey samples.
The survey was distributed to the whole industry in the form of questionnaires. The respondents were 738 units from 30 provinces, including 394 tertiary hospitals and 344 hospitals below the tertiary level. According to the types of hospitals, there are 551 general hospitals and 187 specialized and other types of hospitals.
This investigation report is divided into three parts. First, the main findings and problem analysis part, including the analysis of the objective application of “cloud services” in hospitals, and the understanding and judgment of the respondents on the problems and development trends of “cloud services”. Second, the descriptive analysis of the survey samples provides a basis for further analysis. Third, the application cases are the application case materials provided by four cloud service providers that are widely used in the medical industry.
