The results of a survey report titled “HSBC Navigator: Southeast Asian highlights” conducted by HSBC on more than 1500 companies from the world’s six largest economies (including China, France, Germany, India, the United Kingdom and the United States). 39% of Indian companies choose Vietnam because of the country’s infrastructure development, 49% prefer the government’s supportive policies and legal environment, and 36% of American companies interviewed believe that Vietnam has many opportunities to develop new products.

In particular, up to 49% of the surveyed companies (mainly from China, India and the United States) want to use the EU Vietnam free trade agreement (evfta) to strengthen their business activities in the region.

On the other hand, 33% of the surveyed companies believed that due to the impact of the epidemic, they faced challenges such as difficult procurement and cultural and language differences when conducting business in Vietnam

It is worth noting that foreign investors operating in Vietnam also pay attention to the sustainable development of Vietnam. 45% of the companies believe that the most important sustainable development activity they can carry out is to improve energy efficiency, and 42% of the companies emphasize the importance of social work.
