The following is the Huawei continues to lead the global telecom equipment market in q1-q3 in 2020 From Dell’Oro recommended by recordtrend.com. And this article belongs to the classification: telecommunication industry .
Dell’Oro group, a market research firm, has just released its global telecom equipment market report for the third quarter of 2020. The report covers the entire telecommunications equipment market, including broadband access, microwave and optical transmission, mobile core and wireless access networks (RAN), SP routers and operator Ethernet switches (CES). Preliminary estimates show that the overall telecommunications equipment market grew by 9% in the third quarter of 2020 and 5% in the first three quarters of 2020.
According to the analysis in the report, the revenue ranking of telecom equipment suppliers will remain stable from 2019 to the first three quarters of 2020. Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson, ZTE, Cisco, ciena and Samsung are among the top seven, accounting for 80% of the total market. At the same time, revenue share continues to be affected by the launch status of 5g in highly concentrated markets.
Dell’Oro estimates the revenue share of top 7 suppliers in the global telecom equipment market in 2019 and the first three quarters of 2020 as follows:

Other highlights of this third quarter 2020 global telecommunications equipment market report include:
·After a 4% year-on-year decline in the first quarter of 2020, the positive trend in the second quarter extended to the third quarter, thanks to strong growth in optical transmission and a number of wireless areas including 5g ran, 5g core network and microwave mobile return. The technology sector seriously affected by the new outbreak and the global blockade measures in the first quarter of 2020 continued to remain stable in this quarter.
·Preliminary estimates show that the increase in revenue from the mobile infrastructure and optical transmission markets offsets the decline in investment in microwave transmission and SP router and CES markets during the first three quarters of 2020.
·The overall telecommunications market seems to continue to be out of touch with the development of the basic economy. While the transition from 4G to 5g helps offset the reduced capital spending in the mobile broadband market, Dell’Oro also attributes this disconnect to the growing importance of network connectivity, and the nature of this recession is different from that of other recessions.
·As investment in the Chinese market exceeds the overall market, Dell’Oro estimates that Huawei and ZTE together have a revenue share of about 3% between 2019 and the first three quarters of 2020, and the two companies account for more than 40% of the global telecommunications equipment market.
·Dell ‘Oro analysts have not made any significant changes to the overall outlook and expect the overall telecommunications equipment market to grow by 5% – 6% in 2020 and 3% – 4% in 2021. It is estimated that the total revenue of telecommunication equipment will be close to $90 billion to $95 billion in 2021.
