The following is the 2020 generation Z mobile interaction insight Report From App Annie recommended by recordtrend.com. And this article belongs to the classification: App Annie, User Research.

App Annie’s latest report provides insight into how generation Z consumers interact with smartphones and mobile apps. Based on data collected in the third quarter of 2020, generation Z spends an average of more than 4.1 hours a month on popular non gaming applications, 10% more than the older group.

Moreover, the interaction between generation Z and applications is more frequent. In non game applications, the number of sessions per user has increased by 20%. Compared with the elderly group, each app interacts 120 times a month on average. However, the survey data is not comprehensive, only for the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Turkey and other countries and regions, and only collect data from Android devices, so it can not provide complete insight.

App Annie found that generation Z is more likely to play games than older users. In fact, users over the age of 25 spend nearly 20% more time on the most commonly used games, while visiting them 10% more frequently. The two groups spent more time playing games than using non gaming apps each month.

A breakthrough in generation Z is the leisure arcade game “around us!”, which has become the third largest game in the world due to its team based multiplayer game function and a large number of twitch streaming media activities. When congressman Alexandra ocasio Cortez played on twitter last night, he created a peak number of twitch views, with the highest number of simultaneous viewers of 435000.

Another popular game for generation Z is match-3 (e.g., candy crush saga and toon blast), action games (such as pubg mobile and free fire) and casual simulation games (such as minecraft pocket edition and roblox).

Among the 10 markets analyzed in this report, tiktok and snapchat, especially the over indexed social and communication applications in the Z index, are found in 9 of the 10 markets analyzed in this report. It’s a year after yesterday’s snap blowout in revenue, and the social app beat analysts’ expectations, with daily user growth of 4% to 238 million.
