The following is the Network flexibility innovation From accenture recommended by recordtrend.com. And this article belongs to the classification: accenture , research report, network security.

Accenture has released a new report “network resilience innovation”. Despite the high level of investment in advanced network security technology in the past three years, less than one fifth of enterprises have effectively prevented network attacks and found and fixed vulnerabilities fast enough to reduce the impact. Based on a survey of more than 4600 corporate security practitioners worldwide, Accenture’s third annual network resilience study explores the extent to which companies prioritize security, the effectiveness of current security efforts, and the impact of new security related investments.

Through the detailed modeling of network security performance, this study identified a group of elite “leaders” (accounting for 17% of the research sample), whose investment in network security technology has achieved significantly better results than other enterprises. At least three of the following four categories are described as the best performing to be “leaders”:

Stop more attacks,

Find vulnerabilities faster,

Fix bugs faster,

And reduce the impact of vulnerabilities.

The study identified a second group, 74% of the respondents, who were “non leaders” who performed moderately in terms of network resilience, but were far from backward.

Leaders are four times more likely to find vulnerabilities in less than a day than non leaders (88% vs. 22%). When defense fails, almost all leaders (96%) repair the vulnerability in 15 days or less on average, while nearly two-thirds of non leaders (64%) take 16 days or more, and nearly half of them take more than one month.

The main differences between leaders and non leaders in cybersecurity practices include:

Leaders focus their budget allocation more on maintaining existing resources, while non leaders place more emphasis on piloting and expanding new capabilities.

In the past 12 months, leaders are nearly three times less likely than non leaders to expose more than 500000 customer records due to cyber attacks (15% vs. 44%).

Leaders are more than three times more likely than non leaders to provide the required training for safety tools (30% vs. 9%).
