2021 mobile application user survey report From MEF

The following is the 2021 mobile application user survey report From MEF recommended by recordtrend.com. And this article belongs to the classification: Intelligent mobile phone, research report, Mobile application.
A global survey of 6500 smartphone users conducted by MEF shows that about 18% of American smartphone users do not restrict their use of mobile applications and services. However, for those who restrict the use of applications, there are a number of reasons. About 16% of U.S. smartphone users don’t use more applications and services because they don’t need them. The same proportion of people gave their main reasons, including that the mobile phone memory is too small to accommodate more applications (15%), and they don’t trust some applications or services (15%).
Another common obstacle is not wanting to pay for applications or data traffic (12%). In addition, two fifths of smartphone users worldwide believe that mobile applications and services can ensure data security, so it is not surprising that 11% of users do not want to share personal data as a reason to give up more applications.
A relatively small proportion of U.S. respondents (6%) said they would not use more applications because they were too complex or did not know how to use them. Although U.S. smartphone users believe that the convenience of mobile applications and services is very important (the average value of 1-5 is 3.9, of which 5 is very important), they agree that this demand is being met.
Application usage
Globally, the four most common ways for smartphone users to use apps are playing games (68%), listening to music (67%), accessing social media (63%) and watching video clips, TV or movies (61%).
These are also the most common activities in the United States. About 65% of people play games on apps, of which 82% play at least once a week. The number of American adults playing music from smartphones is increasing, and 64% of Americans listen to music in apps. Among them, 86% of Americans listen at least once a week.
In the United States, 63% of smartphone users access social media applications, of which nearly 87% access social media applications every week, while 85% of 6 / 10 U.S. video application users watch videos every week.
