On December 9, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences jointly released a report on the development of Chinese people’s leisure, pointing out that the average daily leisure time of Chinese people is 4.9 hours, and the younger the age and the lower the education background, the longer the leisure time. The report is called “leisure Green Book: report on China’s leisure development from 2019 to 2020”, which is jointly issued by the Institute of financial strategy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, tourism research center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Social Sciences Literature Publishing House.
According to the report, the national average daily leisure time was 4.9 hours per day in the past year, according to the survey (2020) conducted by the tourism research center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Tencent.
Among them, 27.3% of the respondents spend 1-3 hours online leisure time every day, 25.6% of the respondents have 3-5 hours of online leisure time every day, and 16.2% of the respondents have 5-8 hours of online leisure time every day.
The distribution of online leisure time of different gender groups is roughly the same. For different age groups, the younger the age, the longer the online leisure time
Among them, “post-60s”, “Post-70s” and “post-80s” have the most online leisure time of 1-3 hours, “post-90s” have the most online leisure time of 3-5 hours, and “post-00s” have the most online leisure time of 5-8 hours (see Figure 4).
People with different educational background showed that the lower the education level, the longer the leisure time online (see Figure 5).
