The following is the Half of Americans believe that the government’s car purchase plan should give priority to emissions From YouGov recommended by recordtrend.com. And this article belongs to the classification: YouGov, New energy vehicle industry.
The U.S. Postal service plans to spend billions of dollars on a new fleet of natural gas powered delivery trucks. Of the approximately 165000 trucks planned to be purchased, only 10% are electric. The White House and the environmental protection agency have urged the U.S. Postal service to reconsider buying natural gas powered vehicles.
YouGov surveyed Americans’ attitudes towards government agencies buying cheap or low emission cars, such as mail delivery services. Americans prefer low emissions over costs (46% – 26%). Democrats (62%) and independents (49%) are more likely than Republicans (27%) to believe that buying low emission cars is more important than low cost. Men are twice as likely as women to think that the government should give priority to costs rather than emissions (34% vs 17%).
The postal service was last censored during the 2020 election, when concerns arose about its ability to mail votes during the new crown. An opinion poll at the time showed that about two-thirds of Americans believed that USPS should be provided with sufficient funds to ensure that mail would not be delayed during the election.
YouGov also surveyed Americans’ views on the current funding status of the postal service: 39% of respondents thought they were underfunded, down 13 percentage points from the August 2020 survey. Two out of ten respondents believe they have enough money (similar to 2020), and 15% of Americans believe they have too much money (slightly higher than 11% in 2020).
