The delivery of about 100 pre built aircraft is awaiting a decision on go around and is still at an impasse.

Cirium data show that 58% of the world’s 518 delivered Max aircraft have gone around. However, among the 139 Max aircraft owned by Asia Pacific Airlines, only one is operated by Kazakhstan scat airlines.

There are few details about the expected timetable for China’s approval of the model’s go around. Boeing officially said it expected to make a decision before the end of the year. However, recent news reports show that the whole situation may have made some early progress. When grounded in March 2019, China has the largest single Max fleet (97 aircraft), which still accounts for about 45% of all grounded Max aircraft. Cirium data show that of the 291 undelivered Max aircraft flying before August 2020, about 101 were originally scheduled to fly to China (although cirium believes that several of them have been reassigned to United Airlines).

Cirium data show that Asia Pacific operators account for 52% of pre built undelivered Max aircraft. In the two years before the grounding in March 2019, Airbus lagged behind Boeing in China’s single channel field, delivering 43% and 42% of all single channel aircraft in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
